    I'm excited about Bernie Sanders, he does give me hope, but the political situation is so terrible in the US right now. I am addicted to twitter and YouTube, where I am subscribed to many progressive commentators that I love.

    I have traveled through some of the US, and have lived in Massachusetts (Plymouth County), Vermont (Burlington), NYC, California (San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, Santa Cruz), Oregon (Ashland), and Washington (Seattle). Also lived 2.5 years in England, lived in London and Brighton, visited several places, including Tenby in Wales. Love Seattle, Santa Cruz, Tenby, Brighton.

    My creative writing that has been published, online and off (though I'm not famous and have never made a living at it). My degree from UC.
    The improvisation and community theatre I did.
    The standup comedy and slam/performance poetry I did in California.

    I am very interested in other cultures. I live in low-income housing in Santa Cruz now, where most of the other residents speak Spanish.

    I did a lot of child-care reading, studying, working with very young children, and being a nanny, in England and the US.
    I am somewhat practiced in creative writing and acting/performing.
    I have two roommates who are both cats, one is a former feral cat.

    The hardest thing I have ever done is to try to raise a child, in poverty, as a single parent. (But that's a very long and complicated story.)
    I have had to learn so many things the hard way.

    My favorite books, right now, are The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz (which is my bible) and also The Fifth Agreement.
    And, more recently, America: The Farewell Tour by Chris Hedges, and Permanent Record by Edward Snowden.
    Also love Pema Chodron, the mysteries of John Grisham, the poetry of Eli Coppola, and Bone (mystery novel) by George C. Chesbro.
    Movies, so many I love: The Pursuit of Happyness, Brokeback Mountain, Little Miss Sunshine, Michael Moore's documentaries, The Ground Truth (doc).
    I do Netflix, and loved Official Secrets, Human Trafficking, Machuca, Breadwinner, Boy Erased, The Hate U Give, Black Panther, and the docs: Born Into Brothels, I Am Not Your Negro, Inequality for All. And many more.

    Hmm. I would probably go to Canada, because I would have to take my cats with me.
    But other possibilities would be Belgium (where my grandfather came from), and maybe Netherland or Denmark or Norway. Somewhere that has free healthcare.

    I think something should be done about the terrible wealth inequality. And stop the wars. And we have to be totally serious about dealing with climate change.

    Reading, going to the library, walking, running, wandering in the forest, being with my pet dog, going to movies.

    A tiny bit of Spanish, which I'm still working on. (But it's a very slow process.)

    Wherever I go after I die. I don't know if there is reincarnation. I really have no idea.

    Well, they didn't have to deal with having Trump as president. But both of my parents came from poor families who had a very hard time during the depression. And then World War II. But things were better, for a time, after that.

    Well, things for women have improved, somewhat, and the attitude toward gay people. My parents were very racist and sexist, though they'd never admit it. With the internet a lot of people are better informed, especially young people.

    We are all in this together. The human condition. It's essential to care for ourselves and each other, and every living organism on our planet, and mother earth itself.

    Oh, that's huge. I'd have different parents. Parents who were more encouraging to me, I had a very dysfunctional childhood. Very traumatic in some ways. I'd have a father who did not hate me, and a mother who would let me be myself, and could appreciate creativity.

    I wish I had paid more attention to a career. I was so incredibly stupid about everything when I was young. Became an unwed mother when I was 21. And had zero self-confidence. And was very undisciplined. I was a hippie. I would have liked to have become an actress, who could devote myself to it, and make a living at it.

    Everything. You name it. Just everything. I was the opposite of my parents, in just about every way. My mother only cared about money and what will the neighbors think. My father only cared about sports and winning. I didn't care much about any of that.

    I'm trying to be optimistic. But if Bernie is not our next president, or even if he is, it's going to be a hard road to hoe. So much to do, and the crises of climate change are upon us.

    I think (or hope) human nature is to be naturally good. All things being equal.

    Climate change. Military stress and intervention and abuse. Police abuse. Racism, sexism, the divide between the rich and the poor. The health of ourselves and our planet. Unbridled greed and selfishness.

    Learn as much as you can about whatever interests you the most, and respect yourself in the process.

    Is that a trick question? I could write a book.
    Having a child when I was so poor and unmarried, and had no idea how I was going to survive.
    Giving up on any real possibility of an acting career.
    Not having enough self-confidence and self-discipline to devote to my writing.
    Being far too easily influenced by others, who did not know me.
    Not coping with my ADD very well.

    IQ tests are total BS, unless you know why you are taking the test.

    Being a billionaire is definitely overrated.
    Being a powerful politician is overrated, if you are not using your power to help all the people.
    Beauty is overrated, it really doesn't last, if you depend upon it and it goes, you're really gonna be lost.
