Hello! My name is Rebecca.
I'm a 17-year-old German and currently on an exchange year in Manitoba, Canada.🤩
I love music and books. I'm also interested in sustainability and am a vegan...
I've already been to:
🇬🇧England
🇪🇸Spain
🇮🇹Italy
🇨🇦Canada
There's too much hate in this world. I wish people would stop discriminating people for things like their skin color, sexuality and for being trans (*looking at you, J. K. Rowling*)
And let's not forget the suffering people put animals through just so they can sell meat for cheap prices.
This needs to stop!
-Harry Potter (minus J.K. Rowling)
-The Hunger Games
I also started the Maze Runner but I'm waiting for the 2nd book to be available in the school library. I also read the first two Percy Jackson books and think they're OK😅
In 2019 I donated around 15.7 inches of my hair to an organisation which makes wigs for young cancer patiens. That's something I'm very proud of😊
I'm currently on an exchange year in Canada and I'm going to a beautiful High School 😍
When I was younger (kindergarten till elementary school) I slept a lot in my parents' bed. To help me fall asleep I watched some VHS tapes (like »The Land Before Time«, »Adventures of the Gummi Bears« and »The Aristocats«)
My parents and I have a... complicated relationship.
I love them but sometimes they are very anoying (let's blame puberty for that)
My mom often speaks in a very high voice which makes me feel like she thinks I'm still a little child.
Since my exchange to Italy I'm very interested in differen School systems. I couldn't see much of the lessons in Italy and I think I couldn't understand anything but still.
In 8th grade I wanted to go on an exchange to our partner school in France (Ternier) but couldn't because of »Health Problems«
In 9th grade I was supposed to go on an exchange to Poland but it was canceled because of Covid. (I'm not mad because I didn't get along with my Partner and there a lot of homophobic people)
I'm not 100% sure what I want to do after school. I'm thinking about studying Journalism at university.
I actually prefer doing my homework and schoolwork on paper instead of a tablet, thank you.
And I always wanted to have a flip-phone...
I grew up in a gastronomy. I really wish I haven't. I really did envy my friends for living in a normal house/flat and I still do.
A lot of people think it's cool to grow up this way but it isn't.
Ok, social media does have its good sides. Having found some really good friends from so many countries it's easier to stay in contact.
